Bridezilla gone wrong?

Just came across this on buzzfeed’s 45 most powerful images of the year and it really upset me :(

I could poke fun at it and say it’s the Chinese version of Bridezilla, however I paused for a couple of seconds and thought daynnnng that’s a horrible thing :(

22 year old Miss Li was dumped by her fiance, idk the details and the article in The Telegraph isn’t very clear either.. but we know she ended up doing this…

So none of us know what exactly happened in the relationship, so we’re going to refrain from making assumptions, yea?

This may come as a tad insensitive, but what I noticed was that, even dangling in the air from the 7th floor in a rather unflattering position (for most normal women) Miss Li made a very pretty bride in her very pretty dress.

Bless her heart and the shit she has to go through…. Eventually things will be fine and not to sound like Agony Aunt but ya know….

You can read the article on The Telegraph.

Another phase for Bridezilla

I happened to come across this picture and it so describes me atm with my darling man. Unfortunately of course, but I have to come to terms with the bitch I’ve turned into. And yes I’m publicizing it because I don’t think it’s only Arab brides who do this, but most other brides too- unless they’re perfect. I am not.

For some odd reason, I can’t help it! I’m blaming hormones and bride shit.

p.s. I’m just helping women around the world.

The Body Barber

Sugaring, and waxing.

We’re introduced to it when we hit puberty.

These are the most typical forms of hair removal in the Arab world. Thing is they’re sticky, annoying, painful and we’ve been dealing with it since we were 14. Ofc the results are splendid and the benefits, immense but in today’s world we simply don’t have time.

Kewl thing is the younger generation have laser. I love thee Technology. Arab girls aged 15 already start getting their body lasered, so to not suffer with unsightly body hair.

When laser came out ca. 15 years ago, Arab women pillaged laser clinics or actually traveled abroad to have their hair removed. Thus beginning the laser revolution.

With trial and error, lotsa women in the Middle East got burnt due to the lack of expertise and experience on olive colored skin. And even the most professional, recognized Dermatologist couldn’t and can’t always nail it.

15 years later, I find you still have to choose your Dermatologist wisely AND don’t ever be ladylike or demure about your skin, cz ladies,  you can get burnt. Literally.

Naturally being a bride means excessive pampering and maintenance. And that’s where the Body Barber comes in. You’ve either been going through laser sessions or decide to embark on a laser mission. Whichever it is, it’s not pain-free and if you’re a worrywart, keep waxing.

Despite how personal a topic of such is, let’s face it, from an anthropology point of view, Arab women are blessed with darker hair. We make an effort with grooming and a lot of our lives revolve around wanting to look our bestest. Such is life, and an Arabian Bridezilla’s got it rougher cz I am one.

Princess Beatrice of York(‘s hat)

EVERRRRYONE’S talking about Princess Beatrice of York. Well, they’re talking about her “brave or awful” hat.

How do I put it, hmm. I loved it, and I’d wear it in a heartbeat, and no I strongly do not believe that she committed the 8th sin.

She is classy and her choice of  Valentino was stunning. Since we’re each entitled to our opinions, I’d like to add how I thought Pippa didn’t look a bit wow-ish. She was more bla, in my opinion. Her derriere was not all that and the fact that she wore Alexander McQueen means nada.

Would I like to believe my taste is superior over to the worlds?

Not at all. It’s called style, and that’s a hard one to achieve.

Everybody’s beautiful in their own way, make love not fashion war.

My fave Kate shot

She simply looks stunning here! I <3 !

Royal Wedding Picture #Win

This is one of my fave pictures, and deserves an entry on its own.

Not that I intend to take the light off Kate in any way, she is beautiful in more than a gazillion ways, but I jus wish Princess Di was there too :(

And I love this beautiful lady for doing this. RIP Lady Di.

Mabrook Kate and Will

Mabrook is Congratulations in Arabic. In case any of you were wondering.

So they did it- yay! I loved yesterday, it was pretty. Kate looked radiant and Will was as dashing as could be.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from yesterday.

I have tons of other faves too, but you know one can never keep up with Getty.

Best of luck you gorgeous Prince and Duchess!! <3

Kate & Williams Big Day!

Today’s their big day and it’s not your typical wedding day cz obviously Kate’s going to have a much larger-than-life audience than a regular bride would. I don’t even wanna imagine the amount of stress she’s going through right now. I seriously hope she’s taken a sleeping pill, cz I heard those work wonders and one absolutely MUST pop one the night before the big day.

That’s some Arabian advice I’ve come across in the past few weeks actually, which I shall be noting as I prep along.

For now, I wish you love, joy, happiness, beautiful kids and a wonderful life. That is typical, genuine heartfelt Arabian wedding greetings.

Rita Hayworth- my March Muzzah (Jeddah talk)

Here’s a woman I think is beautiful. She is so radiant, charming, attractive, and much more. It’s more a ‘she made the era-kinda thing’ for me.

Rita Hayworth has flawless skin, great features and she is very ordinary looking in that beautiful way. She has been this months inspiration for me.

Rita looking relaxed yet glamorous.

A more sultry Rita, working the highlights.

Rita being a swell brunette.

Rita’s lingerie shoot?

Rita’s Red-Hair.

Now for some bridal Rita inspired stuff *hughjasssmile*

Cz I <3 Ines Di Santo

Cz I think the word Mouselline sounds like Mousse and I think it’s yum.

Cz I love the color of this photo. Sorry photography friends, I know not your lingo.

I’m pretty much in love with the 30′s plus the wedding’s gonna be about entertaining all my old Aunts and Uncles, who used to look like Rita (back in the day) so they’d have fun, I think. ? .

Some things you jus wana hug

Yes, some things you really jus wana hug, like this beautiful veil. I love it! It’s such a perfect Bubble Veil, and look at how pretty it looks!!

It’s not that I’m emotional and I love beautiful things because I’m an Arabian terrorist Bride (honey) I’m jus regular.

With all this happening in the Arab world, I have to admit that I haven’t been focusing that much on the wedding. I think, I only once in a while dream of it now.

So fairytale-like…
